Mark and Alex Richard's Fitness Success Stories

I was referred to Arnel by my chiropractor to obtain strength training exercises for my lower back, quadriceps, hip flexors, hamstrings and other muscles.  I was experiencing lower back and leg pain during running activity and x-rays indicated arthritis in the lower lumbar and sacrum.  I have been running approximately 20 miles per week for the past 10 years and have been running for approximately 25 years.  Recently, due to back and leg pain my workouts were limited to only 2 miles 5 times per week.  The reduction in exercise and lack of diet resulted in weight gain which further compounded the situation. 

After 8 sessions with Arnel during April and May 2006, I learned several new exercises and realized that the sit ups and other exercises previous utilized were no longer effective and doing 30 of the new bicycle sit ups gives me the same exercise as 200 using a crunch bar.  I also learned that I could increase the number of pushups and now do 50 per set rather than 25.  It was amazing how much work/exercise was involved in each 30 minute session. 

Arnel also turned me onto using elastic bands and the exercise ball for additional options for my entire body work out.  The use of the ball is amazing and helps to work the core muscles of the body.  I now have a new regime of exercise and am in the process of increasing my mileage.
